I stopped into Fred’s SpeakEasy South on Hendersonville Road this past Sunday for wings.
Fred’s SpeakEasy South will have a mock opening of the restaurant side of the building Saturday July 21st and plans to open the following Monday, July 30th.
The restraunt will be called Fred’s kitchen and according to the bar tender will be serving a full breakfast and lunch menu. The lunch menu will feature Italian sandwiches and the new menu will also be available on the bar side of the building.
Little Bee Thai moves downtown
This is news to me.
Little Bee Thai, which was located inside an Exxon gas station on Sweeten Creek, has moved next to the French Broad Food Co-op across the street from the Orange Peel.
The Mountain Xpress had the following to say about Little Bee Thai in March:
Don’t eat here. Well, you should eat here, but in many ways, we kind of wish you wouldn’t. Getting fed at this tiny restaurant is a notoriously long and arduous process, thus we’re rather conflicted about offering this disclosure in the first place: Little Bee’s offers easily the best Thai food in WNC.
