I would normally categorize myself as a carnivore, but when my girlfriend expressed we needed to lose weight and needed to eat healthy, the first restaurant that came to mind was Rosetta’s Kitchen. I know, we are so dumb and you will especially see how well the diet is working out the next couple of weeks when the food posts are nothing but burgers and fries.
I ordered the Swiss Portabella Melt, grilled marinated mushroom with metled Swiss, grilled red onions, lettuce, tomato, and Veganaise on a house made whole wheat bun. I also added avocado to the fungi melt.
I don’t think becoming a vegetarian or vegan would be very hard, if I could eat this sandwich every day. I love Portabella mushrooms and this one was cooked to perfection. The avocado was a nice addition to the sandwich and I would recommend it. For dessert we split a raspberry chocolate Blondie, because we were just so good for lunch (eye roll).
This wasn’t our first time at Rosetta’s and it won’t be our last. Rosetta’s moderate prices and healthy dishes (It’s healthy right? It’s vegetarian after all? Right? Ugh..I need ice cream) will have us coming back.
