The Asheville Disclaimer and Charlotte Street Computers presents comedian Sara Schaefer at the Lexington Avenue Brewery Monday June 25th. The show starts at 9:00 p.m. and tickets are just $7, which can be purchased here.

Sara Schaefer is a critically acclaimed stand up comedian, writer, and producer based in New York City. She won two Emmy awards for her work as the Head Blogger for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, was one of Comedy Central’s Comics to Watch in 2010, and has written for BestWeekEver.tv and Who Wants to Be A Millionaire. She has appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Best Week Ever, E!, Fuse, and AOL.

 

It was announced last week Schaefer with current podcast cohost Niki Glaser will launch a new talk show on MTV later this year. From TV Guide:

MTV is getting back into the late night comedy game, greenlighting a new series starring up-and-coming comedians Nikki Glaser and Sara Schaefer. The Nikki and Sara Show will air weekly at 11 p.m. on a night to be determined; the series is expected to launch later this year.

 

Glaser and Schaefer aren’t household names yet, but they’re developing a following online via their popular podcast You Had to Be ThereFor their new show, Glaser and Schaefer will tell jokes, star in sketches, interview regular people on the street and welcome celebrity guests.
