11 days left until Asheville’s annual comedy festival, Laugh Your Asheville Off, August 13th to August 17th.   Today’s feature comedian that will be performing at Laugh Your Asheville Off is Brendan Fitzgibbons.   From Fitzgibbons’ Bio: Brendan Fitzgibbons is a comedian, actor and writer in New York City.  Brendan is from Palatine, Illinois (where Spunky Dunkers Doughnuts are King) but began his comedy career in New York City. He has performed all over the city including clubs such as Caroline’s on Broadway, Gotham Comedy Club, Stand-up New York, Upright Citizen’s Brigade, and Upright Citizens Brigade East along with several other booked shows. Some of Brendan’s favorite shows/rooms to perform at are the Living Room,  Caffee Vivaldi,  the Irish Exit and Bar 4. He currently produces and performs on the popular stand-up show at Lucky Jacks called “Gandhi, is that You?” Brendan has also performed at several colleges including Georgetown University, Columbia University, University of Delaware, Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Roanoke College, University of Colorado, Drew University and Philadelphia University. And in 2009, his World Series comedy team made the playoffs in the World Series of Comedy at Caroline’s competition. In 2010, Brendan was passed for Late Night at the Comic Strip Live! Slice of Life Comedy presents comedian Jason Farr tonight at PULP

Slice of Life Comedy presents Greenville comedian Jason Farr tonight at PULP.   Doors open at 8:30 p.m., show starts at 9:00 p.m. Tickets are $5, which includes a year membership to the Pulp.   About Farr: Jason Farr, an actor and comedian born and raised in the Carolinas (which is where he gets his smile), is pretty awesome at being Jason Farr. He’s appeared in ads for Bi-Lo grocery store, Palmetto Bank, and Spinx; has helped many seeking work at Denny’s and Michelin by appearing in training videos for the companies; and also appeared in the Kevin Bacon movie “Death Sentence.”  This made him one degree from Kevin Bacon solidifying himself among the ranks of Tom Cruise, Jack Nicholson, Julia Roberts, Steve Martin, Tom Hanks and the dog from “My Dog Skip.” He has performed stand up comedy on bills headlined by comics like Moshe Kasher, Sara Schaefer, Sean Patton and Rory Scovel.  He has appeared at various locations in Downtown Greenville, SC like the local favorite Coffee Underground as well as Habiba.  Jason also appears in Asheville, NC at The Lab, The Magnetic Field, and Elaine’s Piano Bar at the renowned Grove Park Inn.  He’s also had appearances in Charlotte, NC, and Anderson, SC.  Feel free to come out and laugh at every single one of his jokes.   Here is a clip of Farr performing:   Joining Farr on stage will be comedians Michael Channing, Nick Murphy, Peter Smith-McDowell, Zack Kennedy, David Bradford, Todd Chamberlain, Tails Rogers, Samuel Kraus, Craig Koenekoop, and your host for the evening comedian Kelly...

12 days left until Asheville’s annual comedy festival, Laugh Your Asheville Off, August 13th to August 17th.   Today’s feature comedian that will be performing at Laugh Your Asheville Off is Gabe Kea.   From Kea’s Bio: Comedian Gabe Kea’s unbridled enthusiasm for entertaining audiences is what truly sets him apart. With a personality as big as his 6’5″ frame, Gabe melds well-crafted jokes with his comedic physicality to create an unforgettable show. Gabe started performing in St. Louis after spending most of his youth living in both the United States and Canada. He eventually relocated to southwestern Ohio, where he won the 2009 “Funniest Person in Cincinnati” contest. Gabe is a former recipient of Rooftop Comedy’s Silver Nail, awarded to those that distinguished themselves in the underground stand-up scene. In addition to opening for popular headliners like Amy Schumer, Anthony Jeselnik, and Nikki Glaser, Gabe can be heard regularly on the nationally syndicated Bob & Tom Show. 14 days left until Asheville’s annual comedy festival, Laugh Your Asheville Off, August 13th to August 17th.   Today’s feature comedian that will be performing at Laugh Your Asheville Off is Josh Branham.   From Branham’s Bio: Since his first open mic performance in Los Angeles at the famed Comedy Store, Josh knew what he wanted to do with his life. Be a yacht captain. Unfortunately, in 2007 he won the “Comedy Off Broadway Comedy Challenge;” in 2008, he was a semifinalist in the “Midwest Ultimate Funny Championships;” and in 2009, Josh Branham won the 1st ever “Improv Comedy Derby.” Josh knew, heck we all knew, he would never go back to his seafaring dreams no matter how often he wore that hat and those ridiculous shoes. Now he spends his time at comedy clubs, colleges, and corporate events far from the sea. He has made multiple appearances at the Cincinnati BrewHaHa festival including a return in 2013. He will also appear at the 2013 Laugh Your Asheville Off festival. Josh currently lives in New York city where he can be seen drinking coffee, hatless and forlorn, at the best clubs in town.
